Film Waiver ("the extension") is a Chrome browser extension that helps filmmakers find and copy discount codes for film festival submissions on FilmFreeway. This page explains what data the extension accesses, how it is used, and what is never collected.
Film Waiver does not collect, store, transmit, or share any of the following:
Film Waiver runs exclusively on filmfreeway.com. When you visit a FilmFreeway page, the extension reads publicly visible discount code information displayed on that page and shows it in the extension popup. It does not read any private account data, form inputs, or information behind a login.
Discount codes scraped from FilmFreeway are cached locally on your device using
Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API. This cache exists only on your
device, expires after 30 minutes, and is never transmitted to any server.
Film Waiver does not send any data to external servers. There is no backend, no database, and no third-party services involved. The extension operates entirely within your browser.
The extension requests the following Chrome permissions for the reasons stated:
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised date. Continued use of the extension after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
